Introduction and Overview of the Forum

Today, Education systems around the world are undergoing rapid transformations driven by advances in knowledge and technology. These changes impose new challenges on teaching methods and the outcomes of the educational process. In light of these shifts, there is a growing need to develop the teaching of the Arabic language in ways that reinforce its status as a language of science, knowledge, and cultural identity, while simultaneously with the demands of contemporary education.

Building on this vision, and within the framework of ongoing efforts to advance Arabic language education and strengthen its position within educational institutions, the Fifth International Forum for Arabic Language Teachers is held under the umbrella of Sharjah Private Education Authority, in collaboration with Sharjah Education Academy. The forum serves as an academic and educational platform that brings together experts, researchers, and teachers from diverse educational institutions.

The forum aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and the exploration of best contemporary teaching practices in the field of Arabic language education for both native and non-native speakers, in alignment with the requirements and strategies of the 21st century.

The unprecedented acceleration of technological advancements presents a valuable opportunity for thoughtful, professional, and purposeful engagement in reshaping the intellectual framework associated with education. It calls for an active shift toward “learning” rather than merely “teaching,” where the learner becomes the central focus of the process, thinking, analyzing, dialoguing, discussing, practicing, and most importantly, testing and evaluating their own abilities within a nurturing, motivating, supportive, and development-oriented environment.

The forum features a series of panel discussions and hands-on workshops designed to showcase outstanding experiences and pedagogical innovations in teaching the Arabic language. It also provides an interactive environment that fosters the exchange of ideas and expertise among specialists in the field of education.

The forum undertakes the mission of delivering international training workshops led by experts and specialists, ensuring that teachers leave with practical outcomes that can be effectively applied in the field. Its key objectives include:
